Steall Bridge and Waterfall

At the end of Glen Nevis (other side of glen from Ben Nevis Inn) there is a car park and it is a short walk through a gorge to view the spectacular Steall waterfall and you can play on the wire bridge. It’s really cool.

The Lost Valley

If you’re looking for an easy-ish but spectacularly amazing walk on your way up or down, stop in Glencoe and visit the Lost Valley: http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/fortwilliam/lostvalley.shtml.  As you drive through Glencoe, you are surrounded by steep sided mountains.  Who’d have thought that there was a great valley hidden just just out of sight, and accessed through a narrow cleft?  This is where the clans of old used to hide their stolen cattle….

The Ice Factor

www.ice-factor.co.uk.  If you want to do something otdoorsy but stay indoors, this place has the tallest indoor ice-climbing wall in the UK and is great fun.  There’s a normal climbing wall as well, and for the non-climbers there’s a nice cafe’ that does great food, and a steam room and saunas too!

There’s also Nessie spotting.
