Maps and Directions
Want to know where you’re going, where the wedding is happening, and where’s the best place to get a pint? Well, this page has some rather splendid maps that can be played with to increase the joy in your life.
Possibly. You need to put some of your own enthusiasm into this by the way.
Beneath the map is a set of instructions on how to get to the venue. This is an interactive map, with placemarkers of key venues.

By Car:
Directions (from England). If you live in Scotland you should know the way to Fort William already
Take the M6 North;
Follow it as M6 becomes the M74 North;
Follow signs for Glasgow, M8; Fort William is 2.5 hours from Glasgow.
At junction 4, turn onto the M73 North;
At junction 2 of the M73 turn off onto the M8 West, heading for Greenock and Paisley;
Stay on the M8 West until you get to junction 30, then turn off onto the M898 for the Erskine Bridge;
After going over the Erskine Bridge, take the A82 for Dumbarton;
Stay on the A82. You will go through Dumbarton, past Loch Lomond, Crianlarich, Tyndrum (we really reccommend the Real Food Cafe here http://www.therealfoodcafe.com/), Bridge of Orchy and then into Glencoe. The road through Glencoe is one of the most spectacular in the whole of the UK – enjoy!
Stay on the A82 through Glencoe and beyond, now following signs for Fort William.
Jen highly recommends this tea shop near Glencoe villiage: http://www.craftsandthings.co.uk/
Once in Fort William (still on the A82) you’ll find yourself driving along a dual carriageway with the sea on your left. You’re nearly there! From here:
Go straight over the first roundabout;
Turn right at the next roundabout (still on the A82);
Stay on the A82, going left by the hospital and over the bridge;
Almost immediately after the bridge turn right into Claggan Road (a red tourist sign points right for the Ben Nevis Inn and various other attractions – if you go through the traffic lights you’ve missed the turn);
Follow the road along and turn right immediately before the Spar;
Follow this road (it becomes single track just after the Fort William Football Club) all the way to the end, where you will find the Ben Nevis Inn. You’ve arrived!
